Job Duties:

• Engage with employees, supervisors, and management to create and promote a safe work environment;
• Prioritize engineering safety into our work processes;
• Create CAD models, assembly and manufacturing instructions, test plans, and inspection protocols that deliver quality products cost-effectively;
• Actively engage with all WRT stakeholders to achieve product cost efficiency;
• Solve problems, identify gaps, and redesign as required;
• Implement mistake-proofing concepts to prevent product defects;
• Analyze and design fixtures and processes, and recommend automation, including new equipment;
• Ensure vendors and subcontractors manufacture products according to specifications;
• Develop product specifications and establish testing procedures before utilizing vendors or subcontractors; and
• Provide input and support during the selection process of new vendors.
• Complete other tasks as assigned or required.
• Approximately 10% domestic travel to various unanticipated sites throughout the U.S. is required.

Requirements:

The position of Mechanical Engineer requires a Bachelor’s degree or its foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation.

Additionally, the applicant must have:

1. Experience with system design and layout.
2. Experience with tolerance control and tolerance stack up analysis.
3. Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
4. Experience with 3D CAD modeling.
5. Experience with ERP, PowerPoint and Excel.

Rate of Pay: $90,000 to $115,000 per year
